Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities mix10k,

We understand you want to make sure your AirPods are updated to the latest firmware.

If you don't believe the firmware is up to date, you can use the following steps to update the firmware:

First, make sure your AirPods are in range of your iPhone 12.

Next, listen to music or some other audio content through your AirPods for at least 30 seconds.

Put the AirPods back in their charging case, and close the lid.

Connect your AirPods to a power sources wait 30 more minutes, then connect them to your iPhone again.

Be sure that the AirPods are in the case with the lid closed during the process, opening the lid may interrupt the process and result in it needing to start over.

Once you've finished, you can confirm the firmware version by going to Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods. If you still aren't seeing the latest version, try these steps once more. The current version at the time of this message is: 3A283.

We hope this helps!
