Which vendor and which model of laser printer?

How is the printer connected to the Mac? USB? Wired Ethernet? Wi-Fi network? Otherwise?

Is the printer firmware current, if the printer firmware can be updated?

There are new drivers from two weeks back, and a firmware update from September 2020. Start there.

FWIW, I've long ceased use of Google for routine web searches, as the Google results are far too often filled with dreck, and far too often the Google results are clogged with ads. I entered your model info as the query on the DuckDuckGo search engine (which can be set as your preferred default search engine in Safari, too), and the Canon support page and related information was found on the first page of hits. Google still does some depth searches better (and DuckDuckGo offers a fast way to search Google with !G on the DDG search query), but Google are getting more difficult to use for routine web searches.
