My Radeon RX 580 8192 MB is causing me problems.

I installed a Radeon RX 580 8192 MB in my mid 2010 MacPro 10.13.6 with two 24 in. screens in order to upgrade to Mojave. However, I now have unstable graphics. Each time I wake the MP up my right screen blinks on and off a number of times before it gets stable. My left screen it the one with the Dock. In addition to that I was trying to watch a video segment on CNN and Safari repeatedly failed and I had to reload the page. After 3 or 4 tries I switched to FireFox and it played with out incident. Does this indicate that there is a problem with my Radeon RX 580 8192 MB and I have to replace it? Is it possible that I damaged it? It is a long story but I purchased the Radeon at least 6 months ago.

Thanks for that suggestion. Unfortunately, that article did not address a display blinking on and off and then stabilizing and staying on. I switched back to my original graphics card and all was well. The two graphics cards require different cords as the 580 uses HDMI and the original had 1 DVI and 2 DisplayPorts. I actually have 2 - Mid 2010 MP's so I installed the RX 480 in the spare MP. To my surprise it worked without any issue in the 2nd MP. The displays for the 2nd MP were a HD 24" Samsung w/HDMI and an old 19" Dell VGA. I then ran the "Install Mojave app" and got a message that I had to install a firmware upgrade. I did that and installed the Mojave but was unable to get an image on either screen. I guess that now I'll try to reinstall 10.13 using Target Disk Mode. Any other suggestions?

I am now very confused. I have been experimenting with my spare MP and failed to have any success with my Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8192 MB card so I reinstalled the original ATIRadeon HD577 1024MB card and two 1 TB drives one with 10.12.8 on one and the other with the locked up failed install of Mojave. (Incidentally: I tried to erase that disk with Disk Utility but it said it couldn't the disk.) The spare MP booted into the Sierra 10.12 successfully. I then tried to upgrade the Sierra to High Sierra and ended up with a drive with Mohave on it. About this Mac says that it is 10.14.6, however Disk Utility says that the drive has High Sierra. The desktop image is the sand dune of Mojave. The MP is connected with a DVI adapter on a HDMI cable to a Samsung 24 in monitor. However, I failed to get an image on the monitor from either of the two Mini DisplayPorts. What are the chances I can move the main drive a Mercury Electra 1 TB SSD, from the primary MP, install in on the spare MP with Mojave and move the Mojave from the HD to the SSD? I have a 3 TB backup HD and a 2nd backup on an external 1TB WD drive. I just tried to install 2020 Turbotax and discovered it requires Mojave.
