Photos on MacBook Pro

About a month ago I was in Photos on my Macbook Pro and I noticed several photos are now missing. A lot of these photos were transferred from my iPhone. It seems all photos from 2018 and 2019 are completely gone.


Once I transfer the photos from my iPhone to my Macbook Pro, I delete them from my iPhone.

Do you have a backup? If so, you should try to find them in that.


Otherwise - to be sure that they are actually gone in the photos app, rather than hiding, first make sure you are looking in the all photos view as shown here:



Then if you still can't see them, set up a smart album with the condition:

Date captured is in the range "start date" "end date" as shown.
