iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.1 can’t install Apple Store APP

My iPhone 6 with the latest iOS 12.5.1 ( I believed this is the ceiling of my update possibilities ) could not update to the newest Apple Store APP, which asking for iOS 13 or above. So does tis mean Apple is leaving us behind, no more quick n efficient access/ buying via APP anymore n we are leaving with the only choice to use browser to access the store ? My older version APP can’t even open now but repeating request me to update to newest version. I was so fed up n disappointed.
