Documents and Desktop from iCloud not being downloaded to new Mac install.

Formatted then reinstalled, and my files are not showing up in my Documents or Downloads, despite showing up on iCloud.com and having signed in to the same apple account and having selected "sync documents and desktop" in the options.

When running `brctl log -w --shorten`, it seems that I have the same problem as https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252001905?login=true, except that the time stamp is at a different time in the same day:

broadcasting to framework clients container <private> change BRContainerlastServerUpdateKey=Fri Dec 29 18:42:28 0000

The fact that two completely unrelated people have a problem with the sync, with a time stamp from very close times in the same day suggests heavily that this is a bug.

Here is some of the rest of the log dump:

I was wondering if a fix had been found. Thanks.

Hi there Jules222,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're having issues with your iCloud Drive files not syncing to your Mac after reinstalling the macOS on your device, and we'd be happy to get you pointed in the right direction.

To get started, we'd just like to have you confirm if all the settings are appearing correct after reviewing this link here: Set up iCloud Drive - Apple

If so, and if possible, have you had an opportunity to test the issue out on another network to rule out any possible network issues preventing the files from syncing from iCloud?

If you have, then we'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly at this link here: Get Support - Apple

From that link you'll want to choose Music, Apps & Services > iCloud > Other iCloud Features > Using iCloud Drive. From there you should see a few options to reach out, depending on your location.

We hope that helps.

Take care!
