Xerox 6180mfp MFP Big Sur

Installing the 6180mfp ppd file seems to still work for this old printer. I downloaded the linux printer drivers and unzipped it then copied the ppd file into /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources and from there was able to select the driver when adding it to the printer setup. Looks like all the print features work. Scanning is still a problem and I actually have a linux box setup for that purpose. Wondering if anyone has a more elegant setup for scanning just with their mac.
