Multiples Kernel Panic crashes

Hello guys,

I'm getting multiples Kernel Panic crashes with my brand new 2020 MacBook Air M1... I've reinstalled Big Sur and I'm still getting the same crashes day after day...

It occurs when my MacBook Air M1 (closed-clamshell) is connected to my Brydge Stone Pro dock with an ThunderBolt 3 cable. My Apple Thunderbolt 27" display is connected to dock with an Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter. When I disconnect the Thunderbolt 3 cable it crashed my Macbook, every time... It doesn't happen on my 2018 MacBook Pro... It's very frustating since it's a brand new laptop...

Let me know if you have figure out a solution for that!

There’s another tread about this issue and it seems related to a problem between external monitor and Big Sur : https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252122223?page=4

Every issue is different, but it looks a lot like what I’m facing...

Thanks @Barney-15E! I'll do that tomorrow, but since it doesn't do that with my older laptop (2018 MacBook Pro) I dont think it's the anything other then my new laptop (Software or Hardware)... Let me know if you have any other hints. I'll give you feedback after trying removing some components.

Your old Mac is a completely different architecture. One of the external components may not work with the M1 chip. Or, it is the Mac. Only way to tell is to have Apple (or an Authorized Repair Center) check it out.

You have a hardware problem that may be the Mac, the Dock, the cable, or the monitor.

I’d start with removing the Dock and see if it still happens
