How can I restart the iPod?
First make sure you really are getting a charge into the device. Use a cable that is able to charge a similar device and check for fluff in the docking port. Let it charge overnight before trying to get it to start up. Charge it from a computer's USB port rather than a charging plug.

My iPod Classic first showed a low battery sign so I plugged it into charge. Now I have the Apple logo showing but nothing works -- not even the off switch. It remains on the Apple logo. My Computer cannot detect it, nor does holding the Hold
