using itunes on win10, as I have for years. suddenly around Jan 10, 2021 it stopped syncing. Itunes will read the ipod and display all information, no errors, and the ipod works fine. The sync link is grayed out and it won't work. I know apple doesn't support it anymore, but it really should work. any thoughts?
You have got to be kidding me! I spent a full day and a half reading every forum I could find, looking at 3rd party apps, you name it. I checked every setting multiple times and finally got fed up and reset the ipod. Then I couldn't sync anything AND it was empty.
Your response sounded too simple, but I was determined to follow through. I found an unchecked box where you can select which songs get sync'd. Bam, it is now putting 100+ gigs of songs back on. Thanks turingtest2!!
Check that the sync selections are still in place. Occasionally these can be reset for reasons unknown.
