Transcend memory card

I accidentally dropped my transcend memory card icon into the trash on my mac. When I opened the trash to retrieve it there was nothing there! Help!

Take the card out of the computer and insert it again. Trashing it unmounted it.

imac memory card reader My iMac (OS Big Sur 11.2.3) has stopped showing any memory card from any camera I own when I plug it into the card reader. It doesn't show up on the desktop, nor in Finder. Each time I need to download photos, this is a problem. Since it doesn't show up anywhere, I can't eject it when I'm finished so I always get the "Failed to Eject Properly" message, so the computer does know something was there. Since I can't see the icon anywhere, I can't open the cards. Sometimes if I remove and replace the card several times, it eventually shows up, but this can compromise the images. What can I do? Karen
