MacBook Air (M1) enters sleep mode every 8 minutes

When connected to an external monitor and in clamshell mode, the MBA goes into sleep mode every eight minutes or so. Of course I start pushing some keys on the keyboard, and the Mac comes back online. However this is extremely annoying during what ever I am doing, work or leisure.

The console has some logs which may be related, does anyone have an idea how to resolve this?

MacBook Air M1 will not go to sleep when closing the lid. hey. All of the sudden my MacBook Air M1 won’t go to sleep when I close the lid. All my settings are at default, no external monitors. Can someone help? kind regards

Macbook Pro M1 wont wake in clamshell mode Hi there, as I have asked recently I have a problem where my macbook pro M1 14" wont wake in clamshell mode. I have a monitor conected via HDMI plus apple keyboard, trackpad and mouse. When the mac sleeps or is restarted I have to press any key on my keyboard like 20 times before it wakes to ask for my password. This is super frustrating and I know others have this issue. My last question was deemed 'solved' for some reason but it isn't. I am all up to date with my OS installs praying for a bug fix.

If you go to system preferences> battery> you should see the slider saying "turn display off after" so you can change it to your preferred time.
