Onkyo NR-656 Dolby Vision Passthrough with Apple TV 4K

Has anybody got this to work? If I connect my Apple TV 4K to my tv direct it works, if it goes through a HDCP 2.2 HDMI on the Onkyo then to the tv it doesn’t and none of the Dolby vision options appear in the ATV menu. Onkyo has the update from 2017 to enable DV and has been factory reset, but no joy.

Be sure to use HDMI cables certified for 18 Gbps, both for Apple TV to receiver, and for receiver to TV.

Be sure to use HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 ports on all devices (and configure them as Enhanced/High bit depth use, if needed).

There may be a “hidden” setting (remote key combination) for the receiver to configure 4K-enhanced HDMI per port, as with the 686. Contact Onkyo Support for more information.
