magic keyboard shift key will not capitalize

I have a brand new magic keyboard for my iPad Pro. I have notices that the shift keys will not capitalize or give special characters above the numbers. Caps lock will not capitalize either. I disabled auto CAP and this did not solve the issue.

Hi there Harris2410,

It sounds like the Shift and Caps Lock keys on your Magic Keyboard aren't working as expected when using it with your iPad Pro. We're glad you've connected with us in Apple Support Communities, and we can provide some guidance.

To start, disconnect your Magic Keyboard from your iPad, restart your iPad, and then reconnect your Magic Keyboard. The links below should help:

Set up and use Magic Keyboard for iPad

Restart your iPad

Test the issue afterwards, and let us know how it goes.

Cheers.
