The security protocols supported by Safari 10 are woefully out of date with those implemented in current browsers (including Safari 14.0.3) and those websites keeping pace with new security protocols. There should be no surprise in that.

Firefox (currently 85.0.2) is available for Yosemite and later. It is current with these new security protocols, and you should use it to meet the security requirements of the sites that you cannot reach with Safari 10.
