Face ID Locked Notes

If you lock yourself out of notes app with your Face ID and then can’t remember your actual password, will it allow you to use your face to unlock again after a certain time of waiting?

Hello Confusedandbeyond,

It sounds like you can't remember the password to a locked note and want to use FaceID to unlock it.

Here's a resource on this topic. Review How to lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

  • " If you use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock notes on your other devices, you must enter your password, then enable Face ID or Touch ID on the device you're using." This feature had to be enabled before locking this note.
  • If Face ID was enabled, when promoted for the password select "Cancel" and unlock the note again.
  • If Face ID was not enabled, review "If you forgot your notes password" from the article provided.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
