Mac equivalent of "insert" key not working

I'm trying to press the "insert" key to make a pop up notification in one of my video games disappear, but because there's no "insert" key on a Mac it's just not closing.

But the problem is, that fn + return (which is the "insert" for Macs) doesn't work in this case. I've also tried fn + option + return, and fn + command + return, but none of these worked.

I even got a separate windows keyboard and plugged it in with USB (& set it up), but still this doesn't work either. The keyboard itself works for all the other usual keys except "insert" which is just not making the notification disappear.

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

*(I don't know if this matters at all, but the game I'm trying to play is modded Minecraft, which uses Java)

Three Thoughts:

A. Application Restrictions:

Not all keyboard options are available for all apps.

B. View the Help Menu:

So, view the Help menu of the application by typing the word "insert" and seeing if something pops up. If not, it is likely just not an option.

C. The Ultimate Solution:

Contact the developer, to find out if there is an "insert" option for the application.

I'm not sure if I'm just blind, but I've already gone to and read that article before, however, I couldn't find any solutions to my problem. It mentions "On-Screen Keyboard" on Windows, and I also visited that website, but I couldn't find any answers there either. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Or is there just no alternative to fn + return?
