The Bluetooth is officially good for 30 feet.

But I've maintained Apple Watch to iPhone Bluetooth connections for about 50-60 feet, however, at the outer distance, messages and alarms from the iPhone were received, but a phone call would break up.

Distance also depends on the number of walls and floor, as well as the material used on the walls and floors and objects between (refrigerator will block signals real well).

WiFi good as long as both Apple Watch and iPhone are on the same WiFi network. But it is not as simple as that. If you get a phone call and you start taking on Bluetooth to the iPhone, and move out of Bluetooth range, the Apple Watch does not switch seamlessly to WiFi. If you move out of Bluetooth range, the call will drop.

If you are already out of Bluetooth range, and take the call while WiFi connected, it will not be an issue.

The iPhone cellular carrier should have WiFi calling support, the iPhone should have WiFi calling enabled, and the Apple Watch should have WiFi calling enabled.
