can't install app
I'm on High Sierra version 10.13.6 (17G66) and I'm trying to install garageband, but it says "GarageBand can’t be installed on “Untitled” because macOS version 11 or later is required" Why is this happening?

Because GarageBand now requires macOS 11.0 or later. If you downloaded GarageBand previously you can open the App Store, go to Purchased, and download a previous version.
well the first thing is I don't think I've purchased it on Mac before, and I'm super confused as I'm on macOS 13, so it should run if I'm not wrong.
No, you are on 10.13.6 High Sierra. That was followed by 10.14 Mojave, 10.15 Catalina, and now, Big Sur 11.2. You are basically three versions behind.
Oh. Well thanks for the clarification. Is there anyway I can get GarageBand other than the method you previously stated?
You're welcome. The only way to get it now is if your Mac can run Big Sur or you purchase a Mac that can.
Alright. Thanks for your time.
You're welcome.
I have an older MacBook (2012) running Catalina 10.15.7 and it won't even download, much less install. What's up?
