Deleted app

I accidentally deleted an app on my iPhone 8. When I try to readd it from the App Store, it only lets me open it but not to add it back to the home screen. How can I do that?

iPhone 8, iOS 14

Scroll the Home Screen from right to left several times. The App Library is the very last page. It will have every app on the phone in both an alphabetical list and as icons grouped in folders by app type.

It hasn’t been deleted; it is on the App Library page. Just drag it back to the home screen. By default in iOS 14 deleting app icons only removes the icon, it doesn’t remove the app. If you actually want to remove apps:

Go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases - Change Deleting Apps to Allow.
