Hello,
Since installing macOS Big Sur, I am noticing that any games that I play on macOS (World of Warcraft, Minecraft, etc.) make the entire operating system, and the game, very laggy. This happens around 5-10 minutes after starting the application.
This was never an issue in pervious versions of macOS. Is anyone else having this issue at all?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, when playing games on your Mac is seems to be slower than expected, do we have that right? Does it happen if you are not playing any games and using other applications? How much storage space is available on your Mac? Also, are there any updates available for the games you are playing?

Big Sur and Catalina use more RAM memory than some of the older operating systems. Games tend to be memory intensive. When gaming, be sure to close all other open apps. It helps to also clear your browser history which takes up RAM. Perhaps you should look at how much RAM you have installed.
