iPhone on lock screen randomly opens apps and makes calls

Even when I am not using my iPhone, it does things. It will be in my pocket, and if I move the wrong way, it opens apps, plays music, or makes calls. I have it set to fingerprint to unlock, but it still does it. It is getting really, really annoying. I don't know how it is doing it without finger contact on the screen or the home button, but it is doing it A LOT.

Hello mdignard,

It sounds like your iPhone has unexpected input, where it's behaving as if you are touching this, but you are not.

Here's a resource on this topic. Check out If the screen isn’t working on your iPhone or iPad.

Also, see if this only happens when it's in your pocket to help isolate it. If it does, make sure it is locked before putting it in your pocket and see if it continues.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
