Macbook Pro M1 and Dell D6000 Dock / DisplayLink Issue

Hi,

Have the MBP M1 / 16gb and Dell D6000 with latest firmware and DisplayLink Drivers. Here is the issue that I am seeing:

Scenario 1:

1) Connected to MacBook over USB-C >>Restart Mac – Dock not recognized

2) Disconnected Dock from Mac, Re-connect immediately on USB C again - Recognized perfectly and starts to work as expected

Scenario 2:

1) D6000 Dock – Connected to MacBook using USB A (Doc) -> USBA to USBC Dongle on Macbook

1) Restart the Mac – Dock works as expected!!!!! No Issues

Have tried this with peripherals and completely no peripherals connected to the dock. Same behaviour

Wondering if someone is using the same setup also seeing similar behaviour?

Thanks

Jason

I'm afraid I don't have solutions to share. I'm seeing a weird interplay between my M1 MBP and the Dell D6000 dock. I have mine connected to a TESmart KVM switch and often (but not always), when I switch away and come back, the external display is static and the keyboard/mouse don't respond either. Unplugging and reconnecting the dock sometimes fixes this but not always.

I'm going to have to track down a Windows system to try updating the dock firmware.
