mac crashed

Wifes Macbook Pro froze and won't re-start-re-boot. Tried all the control/command/power, command-R, nothing works. It's 6 years old and has had numerous problems with her Mac. Time for a new one?

It sounds like it may be. If you have a Mac Store or Authorized Apple Reseller near you, I would at least have them take a look at it and let you know for sure. Since it will no longer be under any Apple Care, it may not make sense to have it repaired. It also may be an easy, reasonable fix.
