How to increase/decrease display brightness only with the keyboard, not touch bar?

I tried to use Karabiner. But it doesn't work. Only via Touchbar.

Any solutions?

No brightness key on new MacBook Pro I purchased new MacBookPro (13 inches, M2, macOS Monterey). Old MacBookPro used to have Brightness adjustment key (F1, F2) however new MacBookPro doesn't. It seems the only ways to adjust Brightness manually are (1) system preference -> display (2) use the bar (3) use the slider icon on the menu bar. Brightness changing have a macbook pro 13 2014. Everything works fine on mac os mojave. When updating to mac os Catalina, changing the brightness of the screen does not work. The buttons themselves work, that is, you can see the brightness change icon on the screen, but the brightness does not change. I have been using brightness slider for a long time. Deciding to upgrade to mac os big sur, I was faced with the fact that when you click on the buttons, nothing happens at all, even the brightness change icon is not shown. And also when you exit sleep mode, the macbook itself works, but the screen does not. What can be in?

MacBook Pro brightness not changing Hi helper/reader, I have a MBP Mid 2012 running macOS Catalina 10.15.2 . Recently, I was unable to change my brightness in any circumstance. Even I saw no slider in Display Preferences to change it manually. Someone please help me to change it. Thanks, Arnav8

Just the Touch Bar. You can set it to always show the expanded control strip (System Prefs > Keyboard).

With Touch Bar it's pretty uncomfortable.

I have to hold for a long time and only then move the brightness slider. It's really unusable for frequent use.

If you’re on Big Sur, use the control center.
