How do I update my HomePod? It has neither a code or shows up when I try and connect to the Home App. I have unplugged and re-plugged in and still nothing. I cannot tell if it is up to date or not.

I switched internet providers and when I took my HomePod offline from DSL to a cable network, it no longer shows up as an output option. I do not know if my HomePod is up to date software wise. This HomePod was purchased 4 years ago and has no markings on it other than the black Apple logo on the very bottom. Can't ADD it on the Home App because it doesn't show up and I don't have any information that I can input.

See Reset HomePod - Apple Support. You don't need a setup code, and you don't need to be in the Home app to begin the setup process.
