swap in older SSD

I have a 2015 A1534 MacBook with a fried motherboard. It has a 512MB SSD. Can I swap this HD into a 2020 MacBook or MacBook Air? In other words, save some money on the new MB purchase by purchasing lower capacity HD AND salvage my old HD?

On new Macs everything is soldered into place, plus I bet there's some kind of hardware security features preventing doing what you'd like to do. Also the drives are not the same type.
