I ran out of disk space during Big Sur installation
I ran out of disk space during Big Sur installation and can’t get back to my desktop? After logging in I’m taken to a “Target Disk Mode” only option and in a restart loop?

Force shutdown via Power Button. Disconnect all external drives. 1 - Perform a SMC Reset 3 times in a row. if successful ok if not 2 - same restart and Hold Option key immediately at startup - choose Macintosh HD if successful ok 3 - The last one involves the Real Target Disk Mode to transfer enough files, videos, Music, iOS files etc off the drive
You'll need to delete some stuff off the hard drive and make more room.
