Should I upgrade to Big Sur?
Hi. I have a Mid '15 / 15in. Retina MBP, currently running Catalina 10.15.3. Loaded question, but should I or shouldn't I upgrade? I'm just tired of the daily reminder to upgrade.
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

If you have apps that are critical to you livelihood or sanity (gotta have game!), you need to check with their developers to see if they are supported under Big Sur. This was a very intense upgrade to the macOS and some companies may still be working on compatibility issues, or could decide not to continue development. You need to ask.

No matter what you decide, the stable release of Catalina 10.15.7 is available...

Unless you have some compelling reason not to upgrade— it is always recommended to stay current with the macOS, for added features and more importantly for security updates/fixes. Adapting in small steps to the changes introduced often times proves easier than giant steps forward in the OS.
