Dropouts during playback

While watching content from any app (Netflix, HBO Max, Discovery Plus, etc), I am getting frequent video dropouts during playback: i.e., for a few seconds, the screen goes black while the audio continues to play normally. I see no pattern in these dropouts; sometimes I can watch for hours with none, and other times it happens multiple times during the same show/movie.

Any ideas?
