New AppleTV 4k Device: Amazon prime video app doesn't play video

I recently had to replace my AppleTV devices with newer AppleTV 4K devices due to a power surge. The Amazon Prime Video app worked fine on my older devices, but the new AppleTV 4K devices will not play any video I select in the Prime App - the videos try to start but just freeze with a black screen. The new AppleTV 4K devices play videos from all other apps just fine - Netflix, HBOMax, AppleTV+, etc.

I have tried uninstalling the Prime app and reinstalling several times, but get the exact same result.
