My phone is dead due to water damage. Can I get my photos back? My phone was damaged due to water and is not turning on, Is there any way I can get the photos, I didn't backup them to the cloud. Please help me.

water damage photo recovery hi so i have an iPhone x, i dropped it accidentally in the sink and the lci indicated water damage all i care about is my photos. it plugged into my laptop and i can access it on iTunes but it is trying to make me update or restore. if i update will it break everything ?

if you backed it up to a computer or to icloud the backup can be restored on a new ios device
