is it possible to replace the data cable or sata cable in a model A1708 macbook pro 13" 2016?

Broken SATA cable A1470 Time Capsule Hello Everybody, I was just succeeding in replacing the broken fan when...the HDD went sideways in reinserting it and broke the sata connector on the disk side. I would like to know: 1) If it is possible -safely enough- to unplug the SATA connector from the mainboard side; some say no, but further expert advice is always welcome; 2) If it is still possible to find and buy a working sata cable for the Time Capsule A1470, don’t mind if it’s second hand. MBP 13 / Upgrade from HDD to SSD - Change SATA cable? Hey guys, So, I've got a Macbook Pro 13' (Mid-2010). Recently had issues with it and after a lot of troubleshooting, narrowed it down to either a faulty Hard-Disk or a faulty SATA cable. So, just bought an SSD (Crucial BX500 240GB), but I think the cable was also faulty since my laptop wasn't detecting the SSD when i connected. So, Wanting to buy a new cable, I am just wondering would a cable similar to the original SATA cable that came with my Mid-2010 MBP'13 be compatible with the SSD? Or does SSD require something different. If someone could clear this up for me, that'd be amazing. Thanks, Manu

Hi,

As far as I know, MacBook Pro 13inch 2016 doesn't have sata cable, however has SSD slot.
