Macbook air 2017 is overheating

Hi,

I have macbook air 2017 for 3,5 years and it is overheating. I have opened safari, youtube and doing some school stuff on word and my computer is really hot. I think this its not normal. I already checked all the stuff from web. I have enough storage, don't have dust inside, no viruses, did apple diagnostics and everything is ok.

For now is working good, but I am afraid that if I do have open slightly more tabs it could get really hot and in long term do some bad on inside components. I am really doing light stuff.

Any advice?

Thank you. :D

Hello Mark,

It sounds as though your Mac is getting warm or hot during potential graphic intensive tasks. With graphic intensive tasks you may experience the Mac getting warmer than with other tasks. More information about keeping your Mac within operating temperatures can be found in the following article.

Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures

You can also find some great troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue if it's warmer with non graphic intensive tasks.

Have a great day!
