Touch ID frequently stops working on my Macbook Pro

MacOS 11.2.1


Touch ID stops working on my MacBook. I delete the fingerprints, and it works for a while, then it stops recognizing my fingerprint.

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295


if no resolve—

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379


If you still have issues, you can expect it is a hardware problem:


Call Customer Support (800) MY–APPLE (800–692–7753)

or on line https://getsupport.apple.com/

or call AppleCare Support at 1-800-APLCARE (800-275-2273)
