alphabetize a list

Pages.app can only sort text in a table. It cannot sort arbitrary blocks of text.

If your names are in a table, click the column header and you should see a little menu icon appear, under which is the option to sort.

This will sort the entire table based on the values in the column you have selected.

If your names are not in a table then you either need to create a table for them (Pages -> Insert -> Table), or use some other application to sort them before bringing them back into Pages.app.
