Hi Apple Community,
I have an NFC business and I'm noticing that the readability of NFC on the iPhone 12 is considerably weaker than on the iPhone XS to iPhone 11. Any reason for this?
Can this be solved via software update?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK......Not sure what anyone here can do for you. I've noticed absolutely no difference on my 12 Pro Max from any other iPhone I've owned with NFC.

This is something that I have noticed on quite a few iPhone 12s. It for sure more hit and miss when you NTAG 213 chips (the recommended chip type for background reading capabilities).
I've noticed it consistently on my phone (iPhone 12 Pro) and on various other iPhone 12's
I've had iPhone X, 11 Pro Max and now iPhone 12 Pro Max and have noticed no difference in the NFC capabilities over my previous phones. So, I'm not sure what needs to be fixed. Are you asking about your phone, or just phones you've seen people use at your business?
To be honest, this is the first post I can recall about anyone suggesting they think NFC is weaker on iPhone 12.
