MacBook Air M1 with Dell WD19TB NO DISPLAY

Hi

I'm using am MacBook Air M1 with Dell WD19TB dock. USB replicator is working Flawlessly but I cant get a single Monitor to run.

It's a standard FullHD BENQ 24inch screen. I tried:

HDMI Cable from Dock to Display --> Not working.

Exchanged HDMI cables two times --> Not working

Tried a DisplayPort to HDMI Cable --> Not working

All I get is a black screen sometimes it flickers green. Thats it.

The Dell Dock should be supported since it is Apple certified:

https://www.delltechnologies.com/resources/en-us/asset/brochures/products/electronics-accessories/dell-thunderbolt-dock-wd19tb-apple-certification.pdf

I tried a my Samsung TV at the dock at 4K connected via HDMI its able to run but just @30Hz which also is not correct... Should run @60Hz since it is supported by the dock. When I manually switch to 60Hz same behavior: Dark screen sometimes the image flickers in to disappear right away.

Any ideas?

Currently waiting for a USB-C to HDMI cable trying to directly connect to the display... but that wasn't the plan😖

Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Come on you know it ;-)

Ask Apple !

The fact that this dock works like a charm with pre M1-Macs points me to the same direction.

The Docks from Lenovo(@work) worked like a charm with pre M1-Mac too and not working either with M1-Macs (neither Full-HD nor QHD Displays via DP or HDMI).

It's bad since I took my Mac to work and they all worked with the docks available there. Not the first strange external display behavior on the M1s as far as WWW tells us.

But nevertheless:

I got it working with a USB-C to HDMI adapter in the Thunderbolt out of the docking station which is bad since there was a SSD now degraded to a USB3.0 slot (acceptable)

All other ports on the dock like USB-C DisplayPort, HDMI, Displayport remain unusable.

I will try a normal non Thunderbolt USB-C Dock tomorrow - we will see.

And don't get me wrong:

Perhaps I will switch to an all USB-C Monitor with integrated HUB Setup privately. But this isn't really the reality leaving your home. If you need to give presentations at customers you need to connect to the customers hardware. If these things stopping to work with normal MacBooks... I will need to switch back to those OS from the stoneage. I guess you might know that is not what I want 🤷
