Airpods Pro not working with Google Meets or Zoom - causes both programs to shut down (possible wifi or bluetooth issue?)

I am trying to use my Airpods Pro with my Macbook Pro on Google Meets and Zoom. My airpods pro work great when using everything else (Logic Pro X, Final Cut, iTunes, etc.), but when I try to connect them to Google Meets or Zoom my computer starts running very slow and not too long after either program will eventually shut down.

I have heard that maybe the wifi signal (if it's 2.4 GHz) can interfere with the airpods bluetooth signal. Not sure if this is the case but I wanted to see if there is a solution anyone knows about for this issue.

Hello APKlausing,

We understand that you are having issues using certain applications with your AirPods Pro. We’d like to help however we can.

To confirm, do these applications work without issue when your AirPods Pro are not connected to your Mac? Let’s also follow the steps outlined here:

If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac

As far as resolving potential wireless interference, check out this great resource:

We hope that helps! Cheers.
