Huge Performance Hit with 10.6.1 update!

Hi,

A recent auto-update to Big Sur 11.2.1 and Logic Pro 10.6.1 on my late 2019 MBP 16" with 32GB Ram, 2TB HD has reduced Logic's performance to an INCREDIBLE degree. I am constantly getting 'System Overload' pop-ups when working in projects with simply a couple of drum tracks and maybe one Native Apple synth!! Please see the attached screenshot below for an example. Before the update I don't think I even encountered the System Overload dialogue before (maybe once whilst mistakenly on battery power with multiple instances of Vital and numerous other things going on). Yes, I was foolish and didn't save my old version of Logic out before updating my system.

Has anyone else experience this massive performance hit since updating? Is there anything else I can do shot of scouring the web (with no success I hasten to add) for a legit copy of 10.5.1? Apple why do you not allow people to download specific WORKING older versions of software they have paid a fortune for in the event of a catastrophic update failure such as this. I should not have to resort to downloading a 'dodgy' version from elsewhere to fix this problem.

I look forward to your input. Here is an example project where the System Overload dialogue pops up on playback and selecting a track... PS no other programs are running
