external hard drive question for macbook air
Hi, i want to by a Macbook air m1 and want to watch movies from my external hard drive. Is it possible to plug in and watch movies tv series etc.?

You should be able to play media from an external drive. However, you will also need some kind of USB-A to USB-C or Thunderbolt adaptor if your drive has the older USB-A connector. There are a few options on the Apple Store site which are known to work with the new MacBooks, either simple devices or one of the multiport gadgets which also allows you to connect power for charging.
