I just bought an applewatch5 and used both the Heart Rate app and the ECG app for a week.
Now neither one is working. They start but they don't record anything. Additionally, the Green LED lights on the back don't seem to be lighting up.
I talked to an Apple Rep...he did a diagnostic and could not find anything wrong.
Any ideas?
I don't know if it will help, but (if it is not a hardware problem) the first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Thank you so much. I tried both of those yesterday with no immediate success. However this morning when I put the watch on both the ecg and heart rate apps worked after 3days of not working! Go figure...it takes a village. Thanks.
