how to get soap out of the charging port

I accidentally dropped my iPhone XR in the sink not realizing I got soap on it. When I put it to charge I put soap inside of the charging port. It gives me the liquid detected notification but when I try to clean and override it, it doesn't work. I know rice is one way to get liquid but what do I do with liquid soap?
