Can I change the battery on my iPhone6 myself as the local Apple store is closed?

Updated to 16.2 and cannot travel with phone which looses battery power in two hours. Basically is a land line phone now on a charger and gets real hot. Concerned for my safety on the road Desperate to unburden my iPhone 13 of iOS 16.2. Basically a landline phone that has to be plugged in because battery drains in two hours and phone gets real hot since updating. Only three months old. I fear being without a way to send distress call on road in winter. how the hell do I go back to 15?

iPhone 13 Battery Health Drop My iphone 13 battery health went from 100% to 99% after 3 months. Since last September 20 when I update to ios 16, my battery health is decreasing. Battery health has decreased by 4% in the last 20 days. Solve this problem? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

While it is possible, it is ill advised. You can send your iPhone to Apple for repairs/replacements by contacting them directly through Apple support: https://support.apple.com/en-gb

Changing the battery yourself will mean Apple will no longer provide service or support for your phone for any reason. If the local Apple store is closed then try an authorized Apple service provider.
