I received a call from someone and when I checked on the call info under “Recents” I noticed that at the same time above “Incoming Call” I see “Answered on other device”. Does the “answered on other device” refer to me or to the person that called me? If it’s the other person, could it be the result of a three way phone recording app?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you are seeing "answered on other device" for a recent call and want to know what that is referring to, is that right? This message means that the call was answered by you using another device. For example, if you have your iCloud account signed into an iPad, a Mac and your iPhone, if you have calls on other devices turned on in Settings, you are able to make and receive calls using those devices. If you answer on your iPad or any other device, you'll see that message letting you know it was picked up on a device other than the one you are currently using.
