Watch is still tallying points for a competition

On both sides it sways tallying points...we’ve reset, updated, turned iCloud on and off, turned watch on and off, no luck. Aldd add o other friends points show as zero sometimes. Super frustrating. Can’t find much help with this issue other than to pint to an article that doesn’t address the tallying issue. We both have brand new watches that are updated. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you followed all the steps in the "Stop sharing" section of:

Share your Activity and compete with friends with your Apple Watch - Apple Support


The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support


If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
