Can't attach Excel spreadsheet to email

I use to be able to attach my excel spreadsheet by doing File > Share > Workbook. Since a couple of months, mail app opens but no email body comes up and no attachment. I have to save to HD and then open mail and attach.

Works fine in Word... File > Share > Send Doc.

Please assist.

impossible to add Gmail to Mail I had gmail under mail until yesterday but again it did not work properly=> I deleted gmail and then wanted to reinstall gmail - NO WAY ... wether by + or preferences and choosing gmail I only get an attempt to open gmail and nothing happens. The "search" continues for ever without any result. I opened gmail under chrome as it said "open in browser" but still no way; thanks, Jenny

The content of my emails disappears after minutes, then reappears minutes later. I think that my emails have begun to be stored externally and not locally. How do I turn off this problem? The email notice is still visible but the message and attachments go away for minutes at a time. In all mailboxes [Re-Titled by Moderator]
