Lost music

I recently upgraded my iPhone X to the 12 pro max. Upon doing that I noticed a large amount of my music it gone from my iTunes and none of the album artwork shows either. If I go into iTunes and search a specific song or album it will show as purchased yet won’t download. I’ve lost hundreds of songs and since they don’t show up in my library I don’t even know the full extent of the loss. How can I do a total redownload??? Thank you all
