Error message when exporting video

I tried exporting a short video today from imovie and I had the error message: Error:RenderFrameAtreturned: 4 for absolute frame 3741. What does this mean please?

The error message means that there is corruption in your project, usually a black frame, at frame No. 3741. So, you need to expand your timeline full out and scroll around the area of frame No. 3741 and look for any signs of corruption such as black frames, white flashes, artifacts, etc. Cut out any that you find and try to import again.

You can convert frame No. 3741 into seconds on the timeline by dividing the frame rate of your project into 3741. So, if a 30fps frame rate, then divide 30 into 3741 to get the point in seconds where frame No. 3741 appears. That would be 124.7 seconds, or 2.07 minutes. Likewise, if it is a 60fps project, divide by 60.

If you want to preserve the integrity of your original, make a duplicate of your project and work with the duplicate.
