It depends on the printer. Which printer (make and model) is it?
With a printer supporting the AirPrint technology (About AirPrint - Apple Support), it is possible to print from an iPad via a Wi-Fi network. If not an AirPrint model, it may be possible, but only with some printers, and if the manufacturer provides a special app.
The HP DeskJet 2752 All-in-One Printer is mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support as an AirPrint model. So, it should be possible to print from the iPad without an additional app.

Make sure that you have a Wi-Fi router, with the printer and iPad connected to the same network.
And you never will.
You need a Wi-Fi connection to the printer.
How do u get the printer to work from my ipad
I have a hp desk jet 2752 printer and an 10 iPad, my iPad is not new enough to down load the app. I can't connect to the printer, am I just wasting my time to get connection?
